Welcome to my research website. I am a community ecologist studying
changes in biodiversity across space and time. I work on developing new
quantitative methods to disentangle the complexities underlying
ecological community structure and ecosystem functioning. I am also
interested in applying ecological theory to ecosystem management under
global change.
I co-run the Laboratory of Forest Ecology, Graduate School of
Agriculture, Kyoto University, with Prof. Yusuke
Onoda. I serve as an associate editor for Journal of Ecology, Ecological Solutions and Evidence, and Journal of Forest Research.
